This house is a wonderful quaint property situated right in the center of Competa. It is only 92m from the main carpark (free), supermarket, fruit shop (brilliant) and several bars and only 190m from the fantastic Restaurant El Pilon. The house is in one of the oldest parts of the village so the street is a traditional whitewashed one decorated with potted flowers. The bodega and ground floor of our house are hundreds of years old and as a result they are cool and dark. The two other floors were built later and are light and airy so the combined property offers you the best of both worlds. Bedding and towels are provided and there is no additional cleaning charge for these items. The house is stocked with DVD’s, games and a selection of books. There is a good quality MP3 player in the lounge/kitchen level and a 90inch home cinema screen with HD UK Satellite TV and DVD player in the bodega. There are 2 double bedrooms.

Terrace

One of this properties stand out features is the large roof terrace which has unobstructed views across the valley towards the mountain Maroma. There are very few properties in the village with terraces this large and practical which also have open views. There are two sections to the terrace – a large eating & seating area and a smaller nook that is private for sunbathing. There is a small waterproof casita on the terrace which houses the washing machine. The roof terrace has a table and chairs and a BBQ.

The House

You enter through the large secure front door (fitted in 2014) into an airy hall. There are two bedrooms on this floor – one on the left (with air con) and another on the right of the hall. In the center of the hall is a spiral staircase down to the bodega and steps lead you to the floor above.


The bodega is the fun room in the house. There is a seat hewn out of the side of the mountain where you can sit and watch films via a projector on our 90inch pull down screen! Its basically a private cinema. The bodega also has a large storage room in which there is a full sized fridge freezer.


Climb the stairs from the entrance hall to the first floor. On this floor is the bathroom, kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The bathroom is large enough for a large sink, loo, shower cubicle and bath. The kitchen contains a small dishwasher, oven, electric hob, kettle and fridge. It is fully kitted out with everything you need and there will always be cloths, washing up liquid, salt pepper and other bits & pieces so you don’t have to spend a fortune when you arrive. All we ask is that you replace anything that you empty during your stay. There is large central area for dining and a lovely nook for relaxing on the sofa. The nook has huge windows giving you a fantastic view across the valley of the mountains and sunset. There is a HIFI with bluetooth and connection for smartphone / tablet / ipod.

Renting Information

We would consider accepting renters with dogs in this property but there would usually be a small fee for extra cleaning. This property is not suitable for those with mobility problems. As we advertise this property on several different websites we don’t have an availability calendar here; however we will get back to you within 24 hours (at the latest) so just enquire through our contact form. This property makes a great holiday let because of its location and wonderful roof terrace. The house provides lots of areas for different members of the party to entertain themselves.

Prices are in pounds sterling for the entire property for a week. Minimum stay length is 3 nights.
Peak Season July, August, September: £370
The rest of the year: £300

We take a 50% payment on booking with the balance due 4 weeks before your first day. We ask for credit card details prior to your stay in case of damage or a security deposit. We don’t mind the odd glass or plate being broken and would not charge you anything for small accidents – just let us know if you break anything like that so we can make sure it is replaced before the next people arrive. We would only charge you for something like broken windows, bedding ruined by make-up, excessive cleaning needed when the house has been left in a very bad state etc which we think is reasonable.

Long term renters

You can easily get the phone line connected and access high quality broadband. Prices for long lets depend on the length of the stay and what you might want us to do to the property before you move in but they start from €350 for an easy tenant.
