Competa is located within an hour of Malaga airport,
30 minutes from
the
unspoilt coast and just 5 minutes from one of the
many national parks of the region.
It retains the beautiful and traditional pueblo blanco town center but has
attracted plenty of Northern Europeans. This means there are plenty of
cosmopolitan options for eating and drinking and, although everyone does
not speak English, they are all welcoming and helpful.

There are plenty of Competa rentals to be had in and around Competa. There are some amazing old town houses with crazy layouts and cute rooms. These houses are really romantic and will make you feel like you are really in a foreign country. Then there are a myriad of villas - from right on the town edge to up in the mountains. It is up to you if you want peace and quiet or would prefer to be within walking distance of the bars. Most villas have amazing views over the jagged mountain peaks - which form the backdrop to the village - and/or down to the crystal blue sea of the Costa del Sol.
